Thanks Frankie 👍😃
I would have loved to see your P1 at Lowestoft. I took my pick up to Brooklands .. classic show for German car day 2 years ago. I got lots of likes with offers to sell ?!? It proved very popular. Right hand drive and a genuine SA built original. I've only ever seen one other right hand drive car .. a little black sedan from Malta.

Greetings

Hi Rudi
Thanks for your greeting. 👐
The inner diameter is 27mm.
I am on vacations right now, but when I am back I check my spare parts if there is some of this pistons.
I also will look for the name and adress of the dealer of my brake seals. Just in case you need it.

Hi Kurt
Your P2 looks immaculate 👍💯 10/10 You are blessed to be living in Switzerland. Such beautiful open roads and mountains to explore.

Hi Rudi
Thanks for your greeting. 👐
The inner diameter is 27mm. That's a good question about seals. Did you use Past Parts over here? They did a crap job on refurbishing my cylinders and I have no idea if they made the seals or imported them. The rear wheel cylinders look good inside but the front I'm not sure. The pistons look like pumice stone 😄 I've ordered seals and dust caps from Argentina so I'll see how they work out
you have pictures of the bad pistons?
the seals are an other problem too sometimes because it seems that two different (I will call it constructions) shapes are on the market and you cannot mix them. Jörg_250SE described that short time ago

Here are some pics from our trip to Lowestoft and Pontin's at Pakefield:
It was a great trip, I had to answer a lot of questions, that Opel model is almost unknown in Britain.

Your little Opel is the best car on display there 😍. Outstanding example with the 2 tone colour 👏. It reminds me of the CarAvan that my father had in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) way back when I was a child growing up out there and Rhodesia was a civilised country. That was a 1500, so reliable. My dad loved it. It was our last car before returning back to England. Yes.., the Opel P models were never imported to the UK only on special order like Malta. I think theres less than 5 in the country. GM UK made the Vauxhall Victor F series ... the ugly sister which was quite popular and also available in Africa. Now they're the same car as you probably know.

Thank you Rudi I've never heard of them ! I suspect they will not be cheap. It surprises me what can be sourced in this country like original FAG wheel bearings.
Best Regards

Hi Tia
Thank you for your warm welcome. I'm sure I will. Everyone seems nice on here. I correspond occasionally with a gentleman called Harald Blaesner. He's been very helpful as have his friends Werner and Stephan. He mention this site months ago but I was too busy and having to use Google translate was time consuming and not so accurate. But this is great 👌 So you live near Berlin. Such a wonderful place. I also like Hamburg and Munich. When I was younger I used to take a bus with groups of friends for the beer fest. 🍺 Amazing place and atmosphere. Fantastic country.

Everyone adores out beer!
I left Berlin 2 years ago, was born and raised there. But the older I get the more I appreciate slowing down. That's why I bought a classic car this year; you don't want to rush around with it (at least I don't).

I don't blame you. Most people I know have these big awful SUVs that they can't drive down narrow lanes or park properly. My everyday car is a 20 year old Ford Fiesta ghia. It's never let me down 😃. My fun car is a 33 year old Saab 900 turbo. But that needs as much maintenance as the Opel. Fortunately parts are readily available

It can't be me! 🤣 It is Oskar the Opel, - the prodigal son of Russelheim.. sitting in my garage.
